From Montañita to Las Tunas

After you arrive at the CLP bus station in Montañita, you will want to catch the Green “ManglarAlto” bus to Las Tunas from the main highway. You will want to head north (ocean is “west” for reference) so cross the street and walk a 1/2 block to the bus stop located at the bottom of the steps in front of  “Hotel Nativa Bambu”.   This bus stop is located across the highway from Montanita’s main street (la calle principal) but the bus will pick people up anywhere along the road. All you need to do is signal them by waving your hand as they approach.

The bus runs about every 30 minutes and bus fare is $1.50 to Las Tunas. The commute is about 30-40 minutes from Montañita so ask the bus driver to signal you when you arrive in Las Tunas so you don’t miss your stop.  As a point of reference for knowing when you're close is that Las Tunas is one stop after the popular pueblo “Ayampe”.

**Specific arrival directions will be provided to guests upon confirmation of their reservations. We can also help recommend the best form of transportation for your trip to ensure you have a stress-free commute to Las Tunas.
